Oil prices tumble to lowest in more than a year as equities sell off

Welp, don’t look for oil to help goose this economy any time soon, as it’s settled in for a long winter’s nap at this point.

Both major oil futures contracts have fallen more than 35 percent from multi-year highs reached at the beginning of October.
